David Tennant to co-host Comic Relief!
It was revealed today that David Tennant is to co-host Comic Relief with Davina McCall. Tennant will be presenting the first hour of the telethon from 7pm to 8pm.

Doctor Who to be filmed in HD
It was announced today that as of the 2009 Easter special Planet of the Dead all coming episodes will be filmed in HD and premiered on the BBC's HD channel at the same time as on BBC One.

THURSDAY 5th FEBRUARY 2009
Doctor Who Magazine issue 405 released
Doctor Who Adventures issue 101 released
The Dalek Project graphic novel announced
BBC Books announced a new Doctor Who graphic novel to be released on the 24th of September. The Dalek Project by Justin Richards is a departure from the norm for BBC Books, who normally only release novels and "factbooks".

The Ultimate Monster Guide factbook announced
Taking on the style of the previous monster books, this updates and amalgamates all of them into one book. It will be written by Justin Richards and released on the 24th of September.
